Wine tourism

The Gers is well known for its chickens and ducks but the wines also deserve attention. The summers are hot and the autumns mild and sunny with this typical climate of the South West of the oceanic type. White wines are renowned and represent 70% of production. The dry white wines are lively with aromas of flowers and citrus fruits and can be enjoyed with seafood. The sweet white wines are balanced and delicious with notes of candied fruit, quince and honey. Red wines are best enjoyed with charcuterie.
